A little bit about me...
I was born on September 17th, 1990, and my journey as a writer began with short stories. As a child, I always carried a notebook and a pencil, scribbling horror and fantasy stories whenever I had a chance. It wasn't until I took a creative writing course in high school that I discovered my passion for poetry. In 2012, during my second year of college, I published my first chapbook, Edges of the World, which featured 18 pages of poetry and a blown-out image of the backwoods where I grew up on the cover. It was a small accomplishment, but it sparked my desire to publish more.
After creating my first chapbook, I turned to CreateSpace (now known as Kindle Direct Publishing) through Amazon.com to publish my first full collection of poetry and short stories, titled Pair A Dice & Dream Lands. The name was influenced by my love for Dungeons & Dragons. Though it was a passion project, I didn't advertise its release. I dabbled in poetry on and off over the years and went on a writing hiatus for a decade. It wasn't until I discovered The Poetry Cove, an online community for poets, that I rediscovered my passion for poetry in late 2021.
Shortly after joining The Poetry Cove, I started experimenting with microfiction and Twitter poetry on Instagram. I also wrote another chapbook titled Walking In My Own Shadows, which was a thought experiment featuring AI-generated artwork to match my poems. In the middle of all this, I had the opportunity to write for The Poetry Cove's blog and magazine as an editor until February 2023.
Over the last few years, I've earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in English and Creative Writing. Currently, I'm working on a new collection of poetry, which explores the theme of love and romance in depth.
So there you have it - my journey as a writer so far. Stick around, because there's sure to be plenty more where that came from.
