Long walks in the woods have always been my muse. Whether it's the whisper of leaves or the resilience of a wildflower pushing through rock, nature ignites my imagination and fuels my verse.
My poems weave together personal experiences with vivid imagery, drawing inspiration from the natural world to explore themes of heartbreak, mental health, and the human condition.
In the past, I dabbled in flash fiction, particularly in the fantasy genre, but poetry has become my truest voice.
When I'm not writing, you might find me curled up with a well-worn fantasy novel, sipping on an iced caramel coffee (though a chai tea latte occasionally tempts me!), completely absorbed in a character-driven world.
It was during a transformative creative writing class in high school that I discovered the magic of poetry.
My path since then has been a winding one, with detours into journalism, digital photography, video production, and even the mental health field. While these experiences broadened my horizons, the call of storytelling always returned.
Today, I share my love of words and explore the intricacies of the human condition through my blog, Wandering Metaphors. As a part-time blogger and cashier, I find the steady rhythm of my current work allows me the space to nurture my creative spirit. Until such a time a new opportunity should arise.
